Findings and Diagnosis
A 46-year-old male patient arrived at Indimasi with multiple interconnected health concerns affecting both his physical and emotional well-being. He complained of severe stress, anger issues, mental restlessness, diabetic neuropathy with numbness in the lower limbs, and visible varicose veins in both legs, more pronounced on the right side.
In addition to circulatory and neurological concerns, the patient also experienced digestive issues including hard stools, occasional bleeding during bowel movements, and irregular bowel habits. Recent hypertension, elevated triglyceride levels, and uncontrolled blood sugar levels further complicated his condition.
Laboratory investigations revealed severe metabolic imbalance with extremely high triglyceride levels and elevated blood sugar values, indicating significant circulatory and metabolic stress.
The integrated Ayurvedic treatment approach focused on detoxification, metabolic correction, nervous system relaxation, circulation improvement, emotional healing, and long-term lifestyle correction.
Day 1–2: Initial Assessment and Detoxification Phase
At admission, the patient presented with:
- Emotional stress and anger issues
- Mental restlessness and reduced concentration
- Numbness in both lower limbs due to diabetic neuropathy
- Visible varicose veins in both legs
- Constipation and hard stools with occasional bleeding
- Elevated triglycerides, blood sugar, and circulatory imbalance
Initial laboratory values on 10/03/2026 showed:
- Triglycerides: 1441 mg/dl
- VLDL: 288 mg/dl
- Cholesterol/HDL Ratio: 6.4
- Blood Sugar: 258 mg/dl
The first phase of treatment focused on improving digestion, detoxification, bowel regulation, and calming aggravated Vata and metabolic imbalance.
Internal medicines were initiated with:
- Amapachanam (detoxification and digestion-enhancing therapy)
- Deepana (metabolism and digestive fire stimulation therapy)
- Vatanulomanam (therapy to regulate bowel movement and balance Vata)
The patient was also started on Snehapanam (internal oleation therapy using medicated ghee) with gradually increasing dosage beginning from 30 g.
External therapies included:
- Abhyangam (full-body Ayurvedic oil massage)
- Shirodhara (continuous oil flow therapy over the forehead for relaxation)
The initial focus was to calm the nervous system, improve circulation, reduce stress, and prepare the body for deeper detoxification therapies.
Day 3–4: Early Mental Clarity and Reduction in Stress
By the third and fourth days of treatment, the patient began experiencing the first noticeable improvements.
He reported:
- Increased mental clarity
- Reduced emotional stress
- Gradual reduction in blood pressure
- Improved calmness and emotional balance
The combination of Shirodhara, meditation, and counselling sessions helped calm the nervous system significantly.
Daily wellness routines were introduced, including:
- Morning Kalaripayattu sessions
- Yoga
- Meditation
- Guided breathing practices
These practices improved circulation, relaxed the mind, and helped the patient regain better concentration and emotional control.
The patient also began noticing improvement in bowel movements and reduction in digestive discomfort.
Day 5–7: Deep Detoxification and Improved Circulation
As the treatment progressed, deeper detoxification therapies were introduced.
The dosage of Snehapanam was gradually increased to support internal lubrication, metabolic cleansing, and toxin mobilization.
This phase included:
- Virechanam (therapeutic purgation and detox cleansing therapy)
The detoxification process aimed to:
- Reduce metabolic overload
- Improve liver and digestive function
- Lower inflammation
- Support blood sugar and lipid regulation
External therapies were expanded to include:
- Udhwarthana (herbal powder massage for fat reduction and circulation improvement)
- Dhanyamala Dhara (warm medicated liquid therapy for inflammation and pain relief)
These therapies improved blood circulation, reduced heaviness in the legs, supported varicose vein management, and relieved muscular fatigue.
The patient also started feeling lighter physically and mentally during this phase.
Day 8–10: Emotional Stability and Metabolic Improvement
During this period, the patient experienced substantial emotional and psychological improvement.
Chronic stress and anger issues that had affected his daily life began reducing considerably.
The patient reported:
- Improved concentration
- Better emotional balance
- Reduced anxiety and irritability
- Greater mental relaxation
One-on-one sessions with Guruji played a major role in helping the patient process emotional stress and gain clarity regarding personal concerns that had been troubling him.
The patient also underwent an Aparna scan to assess chakra alignment and organ energy levels as part of the holistic healing approach.
Meanwhile, the customised diet plan tailored for:
- Diabetes
- Hypertension
- Hypercholesterolaemia
continued supporting metabolic correction and stabilisation.
Circulation in the lower limbs improved gradually, and numbness associated with diabetic neuropathy began reducing.
Day 11–13: Significant Improvement in Blood Parameters and Overall Well-Being
Toward the final days of treatment, the patient showed remarkable improvements in both physical and biochemical parameters.
Repeat laboratory investigations conducted on 23/03/2026 revealed major improvements:
- Triglycerides reduced from 1441 mg/dl to 158 mg/dl
- VLDL reduced from 288 mg/dl to 31 mg/dl
- Cholesterol/HDL Ratio improved from 6.4 to 5.5
- Blood Sugar reduced from 258 mg/dl to 153 mg/dl
The patient also reported:
- Better circulation
- Reduced numbness in the legs
- Reduced stress and anger episodes
- Improved bowel habits
- Better concentration and emotional balance
- Increased energy and mental calmness
The integrated combination of Ayurvedic detoxification therapies, yoga, meditation, Kalaripayattu, dietary correction, counselling, and lifestyle modification contributed to a major improvement in overall health and quality of life.
