Indimasi Healing Village

Siddhaveda

The Siddha System of Medicine is the foremost of all other medical systems in the world. It originated in South India. In Siddha tradition, there are 18 renowned Siddhars, who laid the foundation of the tradition of which Sage Agastya Muni is considered as the first Siddha and the first guru of the tradition. The word Agastya can be translated as someone who is sitting inside. It implies that there is a sage within everybody whose amazing potential can be unleashed by practicing Siddha Yoga.

The uniqueness of the Siddha System is evident by its continuous service to humanity combating diseases while many of its contemporaries became extinct long ago. Siddhars through their yogic powers explored the world and within. They understood the powers within an individual that usually lay dormant and developed techniques to activate it. Also, using the yogic powers they unraveled the healing potential of plants, metals, minerals and animal products.

Their knowledge of the properties of drugs and their clinical application was preserved in the form of verses and passed on to their disciples. The deep understanding of various processes taking place in the human body made the Yogis natural healers, who always helped the society in combating diseases. Indimasi reacquaints the modern world with the Siddha system of medicine. Under the guidance of Yogi Shivan, at Indimasi Ayurveda and Yoga compliments Siddha medicine thereby creating an integrated system of medicine. A reason why at Indimasi no disease is beyond control.
